ABSTRACTThe Contribution of Commercial Bank to the Growth of
Export in Nigeria. The study
specifically sought to determine To determine if there is a relationship
between commercial banks and the volume of exports. To which extent are
commercial banks contributing towards achieving government objectives with all.
To determine if commercial banks export financing has any relationship on
foreign exchange earnings. Finally, this study is to achieve valuable
suggestions on areas where there are lapses in commercial banks contributions
to the growth of export in Nigeria. Date were sourced from between secondary and primary sources. The
research instruments used in collecting primary data oral interview and
questionnaire. A sample size of 262 were collected from a population of 758.The
research instrument used in this study includes oral interview and
questionnaire. The hypothesized statements were tested using Chi-Square
statistical. The findings of the study revealed how commercial banks help in
the growth of export in Nigeria and the need for policies to changes when
export market changes. Based on the findings above, the study recommends that;
Commercial banks should give suitable attention to exporting financing. They
should see to the provision of enhanced export incentive by the government. The
provision of collateral for lending loans has in fact, turned into large credit
procurement problems in the country.
