ABSTRACT This project presented a digital code locker. It was designed with microcontroller that accepts input password, and stores data for the purpose of providing a quality access control or electronic security.  Security has been a major challenge to humanity. No matter how organized and peaceful a society is, there are always one or more scrupulous persons who always have the desire to steal from people or bridge people’s privacy. Due to this menace, this project utilized keypad, buzzer, pic16f84 controller, crystal oscillator and other passive and active components put together using top down and bottom- up approach to achieve the project aim and objectives. The keypad was arranged in matrix form and the whole circuitry was executed using modular technique. The values of the components used were gotten through mathematical formulas, datasheets, circuit intuition and brainstorming. The use of microcontroller helps to realize most of the difficult task through coding. The c programming code helps to solve the design problem logically and keeps mathematic to a minimum in order to foster a good intuitive understanding of circuit design and behavior. The project was simulated in Protues 8.3 professional and was tested OK.  Both the hardware and software implementation was successful. At the end, the problem of intrusion which has led to the loss of valuable documents or property can drastically reduced to the barest minimum with the implementation of this project.
