INTRODUCTION
The universal basic education (UBE)
was launched on 30th of September, 1999 by former president Olusegun
Obasanjo at Alhaji shehu Shagari stadium, Sokoto.
The universal basic education is to
provide free company and qualitative education, from primary to junior
Secondary School for the Nigeria child aged between 6-15 years.
The programmed is to after nomadic
and adults education and to emphasizes religious and moral values. The
universal Basic education is port fulfillment of the country’s educational.
Objectives as stated in section 18 of the 1999 constitution requiring
government to ensures that, there are equal and adequate educational
opportunities at all levels†and strive to eradicate illiteracy, through
provision of free and compulsory education free university education and tree
adults literacy programmed.
