  ABSTRACT This research work is aimed at finding the causes as well as recommending possible solution to the organization and management problems of  rural work supply of ANSWC Nnewi. Five research questions are formulated and tested with percentages and averages. Bases on the result some major findings were made as follows. 1.       The majority of the responding households are  the heads of their respective house holds of their respective households and  title education or primary school level. The means or encourage number of adults and children in the sample house holds are 3 and 6 respectively. And total income  reported is N200, 60, N400 per house hold per month. These marks are drawn from engineering and plumbing department . the sample rural staff are places on salary grade levels 01 to 04 with the record of serving the corporation for 18 to 26 serving the corporation for  18 to 26 years at the age of 40 years and above. It is also found that the house holds have access to tankers sabs throughout the seasons and that they are willing to pay whatever amount of money in order to get a qualitative water supply. It is strongly disagreed by the respondents that the aims and objectives of rural water supply proggramme have been achieve in Nnewi. It is found that frequent charges in government and leadership of the country had adversely effect the management of ANSWC. Bases on the above findings the following recommendations among other were made for effective implementation. 1.       The state government should develop state water plans and policy objectives for ANSWC so as to enable the ANSWE have  a goal and prepare strategies achieve . 2.       there is an urgent need far national sector supply policy which will provide sector co-ordination and guideline with defined responsibilities for all agencies involved in water supply. 3.       operational support facilities such as basic tools, spare parts, workshops etc must be made available. 4.       in order to be at financial viable enterprise, it is recommended that the co-operation must give attention to her commercial  activities by increasing her water tariffs and developing good customer management strategies. 5.       it is also recommended that ANSWC should strive to know how much water they are producing & how mush water are being wasted so as to be able to determine their operational efficiency. The researcher intends to examine the problems that related to the subject matter.   1.1     GENERAL BACKGROUND TO THE SUBJECT MATTER. Nigeria is blessed by nature with a lot of Natural Recourses among which water is one of them. Water in Nigeria is abundant to the extent that the excess has been causing floods & erosion in many parts of the country water as it is said is life. It is a daily need in households, industries, Agricultural sectors but to mention a few. In other word, it is needed by almost all the sectors of an economy. The importance of  water can not be over emphasized the daily demand in on the increase. Most  rural and urban areas are still in short supply despite the availability. It needs to be treated before consumption, thus, the government  agency responsible for water spends a lot of money to treat water. World health organization (1976) maintained that ………. The supply of water to majority of the populace especially the rural areas  is very mush adequate. Rural water supply cover a wide category of schemes, ranging from a well with bucket supplying water to a few isolated  huts to river pamping schemes with pipe water supplies to rive several villages. They later ranges to  rivers simple water treatment as communal standpipe to taps in individuals homes and provisions for livestock and  vegetable gardens. Various traditional means of obtaining water has been developed individuals and communities for many countries, and  that some of these system, are very much in use be various communities both rural and urban in Anambra and indeed Nigeria rural  water  supply is inadequate in quality and quality, dangerous to health, in convenient and unreliable. This inadequate signifies that rural water supply is not without problems. The supply of water to rural areas in Nnewi areas of Anambra state call for services government presence. The problems that militate against water supply in Nnewi rural area Areas numerous and deserve, proper organization and management.   1.2     PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUBJECT MATTER           the research problem is organization and management problems of rural water supply the growing commercial and industrial town of Nnewi has been without adequate portable water. This portable water supply inadequacies being experienced in the rural communities of Nnewi have been brought about by money being sunk into these rural water supply. Yet water is still very inadequate. It has been difficult for the society to appreciate and corporation in Nnewi. Management is an essential ingredient of all organized endeavours. The decisional and informational functions performed by managers. Combine to form the management process within a bureaucratize structure.
